Securesight Limited (“Company“, “we“, “us“) is committed to managing your personal data and keeping it secure and protecting your privacy.

3. What personal data we may collect and why
When you add an item to the shopping cart we will request your email address so we can save your cart details and send you any offers or promotions relating to that order.
When you complete your purchase we collect your name and address and telephone number for billing and shipping, and your email if you have not already provided this.
These are all required to be able to process your payment and ship your order to you.
This information is also used to provide you with product support for the duration of your warranty and beyond.
Our site offers payment by credit/debit card or the PayPal express checkout.
Card details are recorded using a secure method provided by Braintree which is a PayPal company.
The express checkout allows you to use your existing PayPal account and is operated by PayPal.
All data recorded is securely captured by Braintree and PayPal and only used for the purposes of processing your payment. Details of payment transactions are retained under PayPal and Braintree terms to enable possible refund at some point in the future. No credit card information is retained by Securesight.
c) Contact forms and live chat
On some parts of our site we may use a contact form or a live chat service to collect your name and email to enable you to send a message or chat with us. We do not use this information for marketing and it is only intended to enable communication regarding your enquiry or to provide you with technical support.
d) Product reviews
If you leave a product review then we capture your name, email and of course your review plus your star rating for the purpose of displaying your review to other users or potential users of our products. This information may be displayed on our website or product literature and retained on our systems indefinitely.
Cookies are used to improve your experience on our website, record which pages you have visited and any product selections you have made. No login is required on our website and no cookies are used to record any personal details for that purpose.
f) Embedded content from other websites or search engines
We mostly use Google, YouTube and Vimeo and rely upon these large organisations to maintain their data handling compliance.
When you use our site, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook and Hotjar may collect information using various technologies, including cookies and pixel tags (which are also called clear GIFs, web beacons, or pixels).
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or give any personal information we collect from our users to any other party.
Where any personal information is collected by our payment systems or analytics providers that information will be collected and held in accordance with their policies.
If we receive a legal requests then we may disclose information about you in response to a court order, or other governmental request.
We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction.
Any information that has been depersonalised or aggregated so that the information could not reasonably be used to identify you may be shared.
We do not supply your personal data to anyone other than our chosen courier service to enable delivery of your orders or to payment processors to enable payment of your orders or if required by law.
We only retain any data because we have to for the operation of our business, the provision of support for your product warranty and beyond and the maintenance of records under company law.
5. How long we retain your data
If you leave a product review or other comment then the content and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
If you make a purchase, we retain your billing information and order details for at least 6 years as required under UK accounting law and in order to provide you with technical and warranty support.
We keep Google Analytics and Adword data and other tracking data indefinitely to enable the smooth running and ongoing improvement of our website and business.
6. What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
In addition, we recommend to follow these guidelines:
Limit the Information that you provide by not giving any unnecessary personal data in the comments or contact form messages.
Opt-out of electronic communications. You may opt out of receiving newsletters and promotional messages from us. Just follow the instructions in those messages. If you opt out of promotional messages, we may still send you other messages, like those regarding your account, your product warranty and any legal notices.
Set your Browser to Reject Cookies. You have full control over your personal data you share on our site but reject cookies will seriously affect the way the site works for you. At any time you can email us and request your data is deleted from our records.
